IMOGEN CUNNINGHAM
Transcribed Oral History and Book Design
This book focuses on the life and work of acclaimed photographer Imogen Cunningham as told through her interview with Paul Karlstrom in 1975 in San Francisco, CA. This interview took place late in her life, and as a result, her recollection of certain events and details is understandably incomplete. By presenting supplemental letters, other interviews, and quotes alongside her interview, I hope to fill in the gaps in her memory. The book also showcases full photo spreads of her photography that will appear every few pages to give the reader a break from the text heavy interview and a chance to see her work.
