THE COLOR INSIDE

Editorial Newspaper

The Color Inside is the 84th skyspace created by James Turrell in 2013, a series which uses light and space as the mediums in experiential and continuously changing artworks in Austin, TX. The editorial is meant to be distributed at the installation to guests and will give the viewers a deeper look into Turrell’s background and his relationship with light in its various forms. I interviewed Andree Bober, Director of Landmarks Public Art Program at the University of Texas to gain insight into how light shapes how the viewers experience the installation and what makes the Skypace in Austin unique. My hope is that the audience will use the newspaper as a tool to become even more immersed in the space.
